Manu Ginobili is the man.
A consummate winner and one of the great underdogs ever - he goes down as perhaps the most influential non-starter in all of sports and one of the lauded competitors of his era.
He played with passion, connected with fans, and innovated as much as any player in recent memory. But he did all that on the Spurs? How'd he manage that?

The best role player in NBA history
Переглядів 288 тис.3 місяці тому
Role players are the best. They’re the unsung heroes, the guys who don’t get all the minutes, who don’t get all the touches, who have to make every shot count. Whether they’re specialists, locker room guys, glue guys, or what have you - the best role players just make your team better. And the best role player of all time - one of the clutchest players in NBA history - is Robert Horry. Thanks t...
The 2004 Detroit Pistons and the greatest upset in Finals history
Переглядів 282 тис.5 місяців тому
In the 2004 NBA Finals, the Detroit Pistons met the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pistons victory against the Kobe-Shaq Lakers - by almost any metric - is the biggest upset in the history of the NBA. How'd that happen? Thanks to Nic (the real GOAT) for the thumbnail: nicstelter.com Twitter: ClaytonCrowley Patreon: www.patreon.com/claytoncrowley
Why is basketball the best sport?
Переглядів 19 тис.7 місяців тому
On January 15th, 1892, James Naismith first published the rules to a game he called "Basket Ball". It was a sport he created when he nailed a peach basket to the wall of a gymnasium. Over the next century, basketball became on of the most popular sports on Earth. It has also become, to me, the best sport we have. Twitter: ClaytonCrowley Patreon: www.patreon.com/claytoncrowley

Steph Curry is the Greatest Shooter of All Time

Steph Curry is the Greatest Shooter of All Time
If you want stats, look for LeBron. If you want rings, look for Russell. If you want MVPs, look for Kareem. If you want records, look for Wilt. If you want impact, look for Steph. If you want dominance in a position, look for Shaq. If you want perimeter defense, find Gary Payton. If you want athletics, find Kemp, or Giannis. If you want greatness, look for Bird or Magic. If you want exquisite dunks, look for Carter, Dr. J, or Wilkins. If you want a good Trash Talker, look for Garnett. If you want influence, look for Iverson. If you want remarkable scoring skills, look for Durant. If you want competitiveness, look for Kobe. If you want impact at Clutch moment, look for Kobe again. Now, if you want all of the above in a single player, then look for Michael Jordan
My compliments to Mr. Crowley. Great story and storytelling.
What a cool video. I hope that Pop gets one last ring with Wemby before riding off into the sunset. It is so good for him to land on a team with David Robinson and Tim Duncan able to serve as his mentors. .
My favorite player
PEDs are a helluva drug
Horry the goat over MJ because he's 7-0 in the finals and 7-0 is better than 6-0
banning the dunk is wild😂😂
agree but now I'd play him at the 5 next to bron at the 4
I was hoping the nba would've incorporated at least ten ABA teams
Shawn Kemp is my GOAT. dude was on coke and made sure to put on a show for the fans
I can proudly say that, I have watched thru the eras of Pistol Pete, The Big E, Moses Malone, Bird & Magic, Michael Jordan, Shag, Kobe, Iverson, Stockton & Malone, Hakeem, Barkley, Drexler, Lebron, Wade, Step & Clay and so on, YET to this DAY, Dr J is STILL my all time favorite player.. Early 70's Kareem aka Lou Alcindor was my favorite, but when the ABA and NBA merge, and I got a glimpse of Dr J, it was like a revelation. From that point on, Dr J. was forever my favorite player, regardless all the other greats that have came after him. he's still my favorite. He's who I shamelessly copied my game from, tho I can't fly like him, but I do have a decent hang-time for my size back in the days, and good at doing crazy moves with the ball while scoring, lol. Thanks Dr J, for being such an inspiration to me and all the kids around the world during your time in the ABA and NBA..
i think every era has a GOAT
The Great Dr. J. He should have been the logo of the NBA. No if they go on records.
Watch later at 15:00
he is too disliked to be a GOAT. Part of the equation is likeability. He has none of that
If bird makes that shot in the finals against the Lakers, the goat discussion is no longer a discussion.
This was incredibly well written. 👏 very well done
I stand by the fact if he played with the lakers he would be in more GOAT conversations
yes over and over again
The 2004 Pistons played like they had something to prove!!
They stopped the three-peat that no one wanted
Plus we have to figure he averaged about eight blocks a game. absolutely great video!
This desperately needs to be updated!!!!
Thanks for an awesome video. I watched with my 19yr old son and 13yr old daughter and they loved it. We miss those days for sure!
Im from argentina Manu is the reason basket is even watch in argentina Maradona and messi aknoledge him as top 5 most important sportsman in our countrys history Along side Maradona messi vilas and fangio
What about “Hondo”? It always seems like he gets forgotten!😟
“Kareem Abdul-Jabbar proceeded to kick so much ass during the 1970s, I am amazed he did not break his feet”😂😂
04’ Pistons the best underdogs ever. A beautiful story and Big Ben is in the HALL!!
Rest in peace the great Jerry West. Thanks for the great memories of three great eras of Lakers
Love this team. They work hard
The stat that stands out to me is 71% winning percentage over 19 years. 56 wins a year on average, and never missing the playoffs. Against teams with many talented players like the entire Laker run of Kobe and Shaq. Hard to believe.
As there isn't (yet) an installment for Jerry West in the Legends series here, I've come to pay my respects to Jerry West, the Logo, after his death was announced today.
Tim Duncan is the standard bearer for what sacrifice, humbleness and hard work can achieve. My favourite player of all time
On the day we lost Jerry West, this video hits different. RIP to the Logo 🙏🏽✨ May his legacy forever be remembered
I love dr J
Here after The Logo passed. I’m so happy Jerry West got this title as a player. He deserved to have this much fun and win!
I didn't have the chance of seeing and watching the Bulls in their prime since I was only 9 years old and only remember a few "flashes" on how they played. But, I was fortunate enough to see the Spurs. And I have to say that I can't be grateful enough to have seen such an amazing team and such a nice playstyle. I wish time stood still and let everyone see it once and once again. Thanks for the great video! And my best wishes from Argentina to every Spurs fan.
1972 is the Most Important championship for the Lakers
You never thought of the 2013 Heat getting their own episode? I mean they won 66 games if I remember correctly.
I thought he got 8 champ rings
this is the best story in the NBA
Pop benching Duncan in game 6 will always be the worst coaching decision in sports history, but he rarely gets called out for it. Pop is the one guy on the spurs who needed to “get over himself”, instead he over-coached with the intent of making the focus on himself
No such thing as LUCK
THEE Man.
Any Argentinian will tell you that Manu is up there with Messi, Maradona and Fangio. Manu its just like that.
The Celtics are like this now
If he doesn't throw that towel in Ainge's face, the Lakers probably don't win those 3 championships. Pistons win that back-to-back if he wasn't on that Spurs team.
Best nba finals upset ever was in 75, GS Warriors sweep of the Wash Bullets. But this was good too.
I found this channel 3 days ago. I alreafy declare Clayton as the greatest NBA UA-camr of all time. I really truely mean that. I'm a sports enthusiast that's 21 years old and I know about all these great teams. I love the NBA a lot. However, there's bit a better storyteller about NBA history than Clayton. It makes these videos 100% addicting to watch. Great research, knowledge and dedication to the creation of the vids. Just amazing💪🔥❤
After watching all the Making the Case, I concluded that the best team ever is the 1992 “dream team”😄😄
